UPDATE! Euro and US 3DS owners finally get eShop game demos tomorrow, starting with...
A little game called Resident Evil Revelations
Nintendo has finally taken pity on 3DS owners in Europe (UPDATE - and now the US too) and announced that downloadable game demos are coming to the eShop as early as tomorrow (19th Jan). First game to get the demo treatment? Resident Evil: Revelations - probably our most-anticipated game on the system in the immediate future.
But there's more! Our not-quite-second-most-anticipated-game in the immediate future, Cooking Mama 4: Cooking Magic, is also coming tomorrow in demo form. Worth a try, if only to see whether it's even more disappointing to cook lovely 3D food you can't actually eat than lovely 2D food you can't actually eat.
Both demos will be free to download and you can rest assured that this is just the start of a long line of free bite-sized gameplay downloads. We don't mean a load more Cooking Mama demos, more like forthcoming demos of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure.

The floodgates, they have opened. And we couldn't be more pleased. Now when are we getting our Game Gear games, eh?
