Exclusive clip of Willem Dafoe in The Hunter
Setting traps in the wilderness, Bear Grylls-style
The Hunter stars Willem Dafoe as a mercenary tasked with hunting (as the title suggests) the mythical Tasmanian tiger, and we’ve got an exclusive clip that you can watch below.
Dafoe’s Martin is employed by a military biotech company to go to Tasmania and hunt the thought-to-be-extinct beast after a spate of recent spottings.
On his mission he befriends a local woman (Frances O’Connor) and her children, before he heads out into the bush in search of his prey after a briefing from a local guide (Sam Neill).
Dafoe trained in wilderness survival skills in preparation for the film, and the lessons he learned can be glimpsed in the clip below. Setting up traps, he proves himself to be a regular Bear Grylls.
