Exclusive trailer for hitman thriller The Iceman: watch now
Michael Shannon cometh
Michael Shannon has pretty much cornered the market when it comes to terrifyingly intense tough guys. But before we kneel before him as Zod in Superman reboot Man Of Steel , he’s bringing his own unique brand of menace to The Iceman .
Shannon takes the title role as real-life mafia hitman, Richard Kuklinski, who was said to have killed more than 100 people over the course of his career.
A New Jersey resident of Polish and Irish descent, Kuklinski was a devoted family man in his downtime, a characteristic which is in stark contrast to his ruthless professional reputation.
Winona Ryder co-stars as Kuklinski’s oblivious wife Deborah, and the eclectic supporting cast includes Chris Evans, Ray Liotta, David Schwimmer and James Franco.
