EyeToy support for next Harry Potter game
PS2 version of Prisoner of Azkaban to feature motion-sensing mini-games
Electronic Arts have announced that the forthcoming PS2 version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - which we first caught sight of back in December - will support Sony's EyeToy. This not only marks the first time an EA game will be compatible with the camera peripheral but it is also the first third-party title to offer EyeToy compatibility.
The Prisoner of Azkaban - the third game in the Potter series - gives gamers the chance to play as both Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, as well as the speccy wizard wannabe himself.
The EyeToy component offers a slew of mini-games for up to four players, including Chocolate Frogs (clap your hands together to catch a chocolate frog), Exploding Snap (match your cards with the snap card to create explosions), Seeker Practice (catch the ever-elusive Golden Snitch) and Zonko's Joke Shop (use frog spawn soap to explode all dung bombs on screen). Sounds good.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban will be released for PS2, Cube, PC, Xbox and GBA in May
