Plan your Fallout 4 perks now with this character builder

Fallout 4 isn't out until November, but you can start building your character right now this work-in-progress Fallout 4 character creator. Go ahead, meticulously plot out your ideal build of stats and perks, I won't judge (because I'm too busy doing the exact same thing).

You can see how tweaking your character's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. ratings adjusts derived stats like hit points, VATS action points, and carrying capacity in real time. But the really cool part comes when you see your stat choices dictating how much of Fallout 4's new Perks chart you can access. It's incomplete and partially built on informed speculation, since Bethesda's still only shown bits and pieces of character creation, but it's enough to get you thinking about how you'll make your very own Thieving Night Person Animal Friend ahead of time.

Even if you don't need to craft to finish Fallout 4, you still need to make your character just right or risk weeks of nightmares about sub-optimal builds. Or is that just me…? Anyway, Reddit user psilocyan plans to build the tool out into a mobile-friendly game companion, complete with weapon stats and maps for second-screen consulting; Fallout 4 has no level cap or hard ending, so you'll have plenty of time to try it out.
