Find comic and magazine sets in Fallout 4 to boost your abilities
Picket Fences
If building settlements is what floats your boat, this is the magazine series for you. Each issue unlocks new items for you to craft at workshops.
Issue #01 The House of Tomorrow... Today! - Beantown Brewery
The first issue will allow you to build picket fences.
Head to Beantown Brewery.
Make your way to the first floor.
When you pop out of the doorway, go left and across the catwalk to the office opposite, with the wooden fence outside.
The magazine is on the floor next to the mattress.
Issue #02 Modern Hearth - Hardware Town
Issue #02 unlocks some fancy lighting options for your settlements.
You'll find it in Hardware Town, just south of Diamond City.
Enter the building and go through to the back.
Take the stairs to the next floor.
Head into the office on the right.
The magazine is on the desk in here.
Issue #03 Essential Upgrades! - Saugus Ironworks
This issue will enable you to add statues to your settlements.
The magazine is in exactly the same location as the Fallout 4 Explosives bobblehead at Saugus Ironworks.
Make your way through the building to the Saugus Blast Furnace.
Head up the stairs to the second level.
The magazine is on the floor by the steamer trunk.
Issue #04 Modern Lawn Care! - Combat Zone
Add a little greenery to the wasteland with a few potted plants.
You'll find the magazine and a new companion at the Combat Zone in the Boston area.
After you've cleared the area, head down to the front row.
There's a white table next to the bar.
You'll find the magazine on here.
Issue #05 Welcome Home! - Weston Water Treatment Plant
Soak up some radiation in the comfort of your own garden on some home-made patio furniture.
The Weston Water Treatment Plant is to the east of Fort Hagen.
Go past the reception area and into the elevator at the end of the corridor.
Exit the elevator and take the corridor to the right, pushing the red button to open the door.
To your immediate left will be an office.
The magazine is on the desk next to the terminal.
Taboo Tattoos
There are five issues of Taboo Tattoos to collect, each one unlocking a facial tattoo.
Issue #01 13 - Mass Pike Tunnel West
The first issue unlocks the tattoo on the cover for your cheekbones.
Enter the Mass Pike Tunnel from the west entrance.
It's a straight run through here to the flooded corridor. Head up the steps to the right.
Use the terminal to open the door to the next room.
The magazine is on the floor next to the skeleton.
Issue #02 Anchor - Thicket Excavations
If you want an anchor emblazoned on your forehead, you're in luck.
Thicket Excavations is to the east of Sanctuary.
There's a trailer on the edge of the precipice. Head inside.
The magazine will definitely be on the desk inside.
Issue #10 Eagle's Nest - Concord Civic Access
A majestic eagle tattooed onto your throat is no longer the stuff of dreams.
Travel to the Museum of Freedom in Concord.
To the north you'll spot a Pulowski Preservation Shelter.
Behind it is one of the entrances to Concord Civic Access.
Follow the stairs down to the catwalk at the bottom and go down the stairs straight ahead.
Enter the room on the left.
The magazine is on the floor next to the steamer trunk.
Issue #12 Skulls Are Hip!! - Irish Pride Industries
Unlock another forehead tattoo with this issue.
Irish Pride Industries is to the north of the Boston area.
Board the boat inside the warehouse.
Enter the main cabin.
The magazine is on the table.
Issue #16 Sailor - Vault 81
The last issue of Taboo Tattoos is in Vault 81, where you'll also find the Fallout 4 Medicine bobblehead. It unlocks an inverted horseshoe tattoo for your forehead.
Vault 81 is to the west of Diamond City.
Head downstairs and into the Atrium.
The Barbers is to the left.
Take a look at the metal table along the right wall.
