Fallout 4 for Xbox One will get the mods we've all been waiting for
After a powerhouse showing at Bethesda's E3 conference, Fallout 4 got it's but wait, there's more moment today, at least on Xbox One. Now any mods that are created for the PC version of Fallout 4 can be uploaded to and played on the Xbox One, and it will work right out of the box.
Explaining that he's "bugged them [Microsoft] for the last 15 years" for the inclusion of modding in console versions of Fallout, Creative Director Todd Howard told the crowd at Microsoft's E3 press conference that his dream is finally coming true. That's great news for console players, since modding is a huge aspect of the series that they've long gone without.
It's not yet certain how this will work for players who are Xbox exclusive, if they'll be able to create their own mods in a separate application, or will be given access to mods created and made available by the PC community. We can, however, expect to find out more when Fallout 4 releases on Nov 10, and the mods likely won't be far behind.
