Family comes first in new Southpaw clip
A new Southpaw clip has appeared online, in which Rachel McAdams gives Jake Gyllenhaal's brawler a dressing down over the potential impact his involvement in the sport could eventually have on their family.
She makes the quite reasonable point that an ongoing life of getting seven bells beaten out of him might not bode too well for Gyllenhaal's long term prospects. However, it doesn't seem like a message that our hero particularly wants to be hearing…

While we've already had far too much of the film's plot given away by previous trailers, there's still plenty to get excited about here, with some serious dramatic clout balancing out the explosive in-ring action. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and co-starring Forest Whitaker, 50 Cent and Rita Ora, Southpaw will open in the UK and US on 24 July 2015.
