Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon listings leak
Lead writer teases something "surprising" in store
Far Cry 3's lead writer teased Joystiq about something "surprising" in the game's near future. The bengal tiger may have been let out of the bag a bit early, though, with materials emerging from multiple sources for a new release called Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
"I'm working on something now that will be surprising, I think, when it's announced," lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem said. "But it definitely is a 'strike while the iron's hot' thing, and we'll see."
Meanwhile, Brazilian ratings have emerged for a first-person shooter titled Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, and a NeoGAF user posted some alleged Xbox Live Arcade box art.
Is Blood Dragon a standalone downloadable expansion to Far Cry 3, in the vein of Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare? And what's with that '80s-chic neon wireframe?
We'll hopefully find out soon, but Ubisoft told IGN it has no official comment on the materials at this point.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
