Far Cry 3 release date gets a three month delay
Vacation to hell: postponed a bit
One of the most highly anticipated games of the year, Ubisoft's Far Cry 3, will not be making its shipping date of September 4, 2012. Instead, Ubisoft announced today that the title has been delayed by three months to December 4, 2012.
"We're taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience," said Ubisoft's Dan Hay, a producer on FC3, in a press release. "Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players."
As delays go, this is a fairly short one. Three months will go by in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile, Fall titles like Borderlands 2 and Dishonored will be in much better shape now that one of the biggest games of the year has moved out of their release window. After all, that's how the original Borderlands managed to gain popularity.
