Well, I guess the writing was on the cave wall; the mysterious cave painting shown by Ubisoft earlier today seems to have been a tease for a new entry in the Far Cry series, dubbed "Far Cry Primal." An IGN Turkey tweet (currently still live, but also screencapped by NeoGAF) reads "Far Cry Primal'dan ilk görseller geldi" which roughly translates to "The first images of Far Cry Primal."
Clicking the link takes you to a 403 page, but otherwise this seems legit. A primeval Far Cry would also fit with the prehistoric motif Ubisoft has been promoting since the initial tease.

No gameplay details or confirmation (yet) from Ubisoft, but we'll keep an eye out. In the meantime, all I can say is: dang, here I was thinking it might be Prince of Pangaea.
