Far Cry Primal trailer is a crash course in prehistoric survival
Far Cry Primal isn't so much of a first-person shooter as it is a first-person stabber, thrower, and owl commander. It's a big change for the normally gun-happy series, so Ubisoft has put out a new video to walk you through the basics of life in the open-world stone age. It's even narrated by Elias Toufexis, the voice of main character Takkar, but don't expect to hear him speaking English in the game.
All kinds of useful information there, but I could have used some more granular instruction about making your wolf buddy pee on stuff. Do you have to build up a certain level of trust beforehand, like learning the "Defecate" command for D-Horse in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain? Does it just happen automatically or is it some kind of context sensitive command? Unfortunately, it seems we'll have to wait until Far Cry Primal comes out on February 23 to find out.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
