Fassbender amps up the drama in new Steve Jobs trailer
Director Danny Boyle's take on the iconic Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs, received rapturous applause at the Telluride Film Festival, which hosted a rough cut of the upcoming film. Universal has released a new trailer in advance of the final, polished pic:
Unlike the earlier previews, this one delves into Jobs' personal struggle between his technological aspirations and domestic matters on the home front. Michael Fassbender slips into the role well, stirring up excitement as he sells the idea of an Apple in every home.
Scripted by Aaron Sorkin, the film aims to present a unique perspective on the tech figure by orienting the action around three Apple product launch events. Along for the ride are Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels. Steve Jobs opens in select US theaters on October 9, before its widespread release on October 23. The UK gets the film a month later on November 13.
