Fatal Inertia set for September
And God help it in the face of Halo 3...
KOEI has chosen the one month to release an Xbox 360 game that also sees the release of a new Halo game. Barking mad or pure genius?
Barking mad, we think. Just in case you need reminding Halo 3 is set for launch on September 26.
Fatal Inertia will hit Xbox 360s this September, while the PS3 release is still up in the air. Fatal Inertia is the debut title from KOEI's Toronto-based studio, led by producer Takazumi Tomoike famed for the Dynasty Warriors series.
"By designing Fatal Inertia 's gameplay around a physics engine it not only allowed us to create a truly different driving model, but it also helped us create a set of dynamic weapons with multiple tactical applications," said Lead Game Designer Michael Bond. "We've based many of the game's weapons on straightforward physical principles, and by doing so we're giving players the freedom to come up with their own creative ways of using them- ways that even we are still discovering."
