F.E.A.R. Extraction Point hands-on
Say hello to our not-so-little friend
The only question remaining is one of experience. F.E.A.R. was built by Monolith - an experienced shooter developer that raised the bar and our expectations. Extraction Point is in the hands of a team more used to creating (admittedly excellent) strategy games, such as the Kohan series.
An action game like F.E.A.R. lives and dies by its levels - where the enemies jump out from, where the ammo packs and doors are. It's choreography, where the ballerinas are armored automatons, the music is the sound of bullets, and the grand finale is not a heart-wrenching kiss, but a boss battle. At least we know the team has nailed the conductor's baton.
