I have some good news and bad news. First, the good news: a female version of Link is headed to Hyrule Warriors Legends on 3DS. The bad news? Her name is Linkle - which is basically the dumbest name ever.
Linkle. Let that marinate for a bit.
Turns out, Linkle was previously designed by Tecmo Koei for the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors, but ultimately didn't make the cut. Luckily, she's been drafted for the 3DS outing, donning the familiar green outfit, a set of crossbows, and dual-wielding her way through mobs of Moblins in typical Hyrule Warriors fashion.
She'll join a roster of other classic Zelda characters in the 3DS port/update on March 25, 2016.
