Fiennes flies in Red Baron
Joseph takes to the skies in wartime winged adventure
It seems like a little while since we had a tip-top war movie and with ol’ Clint’s Flags Of Our Fathers marching toward cinemas, we expect the genre may have somewhat of a resurgence.
Joseph Fiennes isn’t waiting around to jump on a bandwagon however. He’s signed up for writer/helmer Niki Müllerschön's war-in-the-skies adventure The Red Baron.
The Baron, whose real name was Manfred von Richthofen, is regarded as the ace of aces, with somewhere in the region of 80 kills making him the most deadly pilot in World War One. Ralph’s little bro is set to play Canadian bird-dog Captain Roy Brown, the fella who reputedly blew the Baron out of the skies at the end of the war.
Shooting is set to kick off in Prague soon, with German actor Matthias Schweighöfer as the dreaded Baron and The Brother’s Grimm star Lena Headey padding out the cast.
