FIFA 10 My Live Season: Goal of the Week Challenge

Game Of The Week 01.04.2010

This week's game finally saw Liverpool waking from their season-long slumber and showing the kind of form that nearly powered them to the league title last year. The Reds hammered a sleepy Sunderland 3-0, with two goals from the magic boots of returning striker Fernando Torres. The first in particular was a cracker, floated over hapless Black Cats keeper Craig Gordon and into the top corner from the edge of the box. Can you do any better? As usual, replay the game, score a belter and send us the video to win an EA game of your choice.

Next week’s game will be the potentially title-deciding clash between Manchester United and Chelsea, which you can watch on Sky Sports 1 on Saturday lunchtime.

How to enter

Every Thursday we pick an upcoming fixture from the Premier League – usually one that you can watch on TV at the weekend – and challenge you to score the best goal possible while replaying the fixture in My Live Season. It’s not just about winning, it’s about doing it in style - the competition winner is be the person we judge to have scored the best goal out of all the entrants. Weekly prizes are an EA game of your choice, and the goal of the season will receive tickets for the FA Cup final.

1. My Live Season updates every Wednesday. Once you’ve downloaded the update, play the week’s chosen fixture in My Live Season (if your team isn’t one of those selected, you can play the match as a friendly).

2. Upload the video of your best goal to the EA servers using the in-game instant replay.

3. Send the link to your video to myliveseason@futurenet.com

4. Please read theterms and conditionsbefore entering the competition.

How the competition works:

FIFA is brilliant for forgetting real football and rewriting history, as those of us who spend hours holding back the tears and replaying England’s highest profile disasters can attest (Germany ’96, Argentina ’98 and - ooof - Portugal 2006). And with FIFA 10’s My Live Season, you can do it every week, replaying the fixtures of your favourite team, and powering them to the top of the league with Stalinist fervour.

To celebrate the launch of FIFA 10 (and Tottenham Hotspur’s impending Premier League glory - at least in our living room) we’ve teamed up with EA to create our My Live Season Goal of the Week competition.

Every Wednesday week we’ll be picking a fixture from the Premier League - one that you can watch on TV - then we’ll be challenging you all to replay the fixture in My Live Season. You’ll not only have to win the game, but do it in style - the competition winner will be the person we judge to have scored the best goal out of all the entrants.
