Fight Night Round 4 announced for 2009
Current-gen systems getting a punch in the face from EA
One of the first real showcases for the 360 and its graphical capabilities was Fight Night Round 3. Instead of going by a health bar, you could just look at your fighter and see how sweaty/bruised/bleeding he was during the fight. It even made the Burger King look beautiful. But to those who thought the series might be done in three just because EA gave the boot to the game’s developer EA Chicago, well, don’t call it a comeback, but there is a Round 4.
EA formally announced Fight Night Round 4 today, which is now being developed by EA Canada. It promises more sim-style pugilism, while at the same time bringing a redesigned game engine with changed physics that allow for inside fighting. Just make sure to wait for the ref to be distracted when going below the belt.
EA also stated that the game would have Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, who have apparently never appeared together in a boxing game until this one. We just want to see our boyManny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao, the pride of the Philippines. We’ll most likely know whether we willor not before it comes out at some time in 2009 for the PS3 and 360.
