Film4 announce film feast
Film4 Summer Screen is back. It’s big and it’s bloody ace!
Okay, so maybe it’s a little sticky on the tube and perhaps by the time you get to work it’s like you’ve been standing in Niagara Falls, fully clothed.
But one superb upside to all this heat is that you can take advantage of the summer nights by enjoying movies – outside!
Film4 are running a second season of their Summer Screen event and the movies are simply corkin’! Set in the grounds of Somerset House, with widescreen, surround sound, cafes and the stunning courtyard, it certainly beats your mate's front room with a noisy fan and a bottle of warm beer.
Polly Cochrane, Channel 4’s Director of Marketing said: “In a year when we are relaunching Film4 as a free service, our commitment to film has never been stronger and we are delighted to be partnering Somerset House to provide film-lovers with this truly unique experience.”
Tickets are £12.50 (plus a booking fee) and the event runs from 10 to 19 August.
