Final Fantasy VI, the last numbered Final Fantasy game released on the Super Nintendo - and the final one for a Nintendo system at all - will be making its way to the Virtual Console next month.
Final Fantasy VI was already re-released for the PlayStation and the Game Boy Advance, but this is the first time it will be available on a console's digital download platform.
So far the news only applies to the Japanese version of the Virtual Console. Stateside, we're still waiting for most of the Final Fantasy games to make their way to the Wii.
Nevertheless, it is a big feat that Square Enix has released every single one of the original nine Final Fantasy games on current generation consoles. Maybe now it will have some time to work on that HD remake of Final Fantasy VII? Nah, maybe not...
