Rumors are bountiful during game development, but some are just too big to ignore. According tonew gossipfloating around the net - and pulled from a fairly reliable source overseas - Final Fantasy XIII will not be a PS3 exclusive. At least, the franchise won't be. It looks like FFXIII games could be makingtheir way to the 360 and aredefinitely coming to the Wii.
The aptly-yet-cumbersomly named Fabula Nova Crystalis Final Fantasy XIII project is currently scheduled to be split into three games, with more on the way.The PS3 stuff, you know about. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers is set to come to the Wii, and “will exploit the Wii controller fully,” according to Shinji Hashimoto from Square Enix. For those mobile gamers out there, there is also a new FFXIII title scheduled for cell phones.
The various FFXIII titles -however many there turn out to be -will involve the same universe. The characters will be different, but director Motomu Toriyama has said “there are many characters and legends that are branching off from this main story and universe. It's a huge project.”
