Final Fantasy XIII-2 exclusive pre-order bonuses announced

Square Enix has announced a trio of exclusive North American pre-order bonuses for Final Fantasy XIII-2, if you're willing to hand over your gil in advance to retailers GameStop, Amazon or Best Buy. Take your pick among an alternate costume for Serah, a coliseum-style boss battle, or a physical hardcover book that details the events that between FFXIII and XIII-2 in novella form.

GameStop is offering the alternate costume for Serah, although no images of it have been released yet. If mere cosmetic upgrades aren't your thing, Amazon pre-orderers shall receive a boss battle with series-regular Omega, who will join your party as a monster ally after you defeat him. And finally, if you would like something more tangible, Best Buy has the exclusive on the aforementioned hardcover novella, containing an original story that ties together the events of FFXIII and its sequel.

No official word if each of these bonuses will be available for purchase separately after the game releases, but chances are good that both Serah's costume and Omega will be made available at some point, since they were already announced as DLC in Japan.
