First clip arrives for The Gallows
The first clip has appeared online from high-school horror The Gallows, which follows a group of teenage drama students attempting to resurrect a failed play some 20 years after its last staging resulted in the freak death of its leading man. Can’t imagine what might go wrong here…
This new clip jumps out of the film’s prime narrative by showing exactly what happened to said leading man all those years ago. Captured on videocamera by an audience member, it’s a first hand look at why this play might just be better left alone.
Take a look below…
It’s a queasily realistic little sequence, and a neat twist on the found footage genre. For once, there’s a solid reason for the shaky hand-held footage… it’s a staple of school plays the world over! Directed by Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing, The Gallows will open in the US on 10 July 2015 and the UK one week later.
