First footage arrives for Fox horror comedy Scream Queens
After dropping several mini-teasers over the last few months, Fox has now issued the first footage from its forthcoming horror comedy series Scream Queens. From American Horror Story and Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, the series takes place on your typical college campus... except this one is plagued by a relentless serial killer.
Living up to its meta-title, the show stars Scream 4’s Emma Roberts and the woman whose exploits in ‘70s and ‘80s horror influenced the series' name, Jamie Lee Curtis. Fleshing out the rest of the cast are Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, all of whom could be in the crosshairs of the Red Devil-masked killer. Check out the first teaser below:
Luckily as the talent attached suggests, there’s plenty of camp on hand to balance the more horrific elements. Roberts’ sorority leader Chanel Oberlin snags the choice one-liners (“What the fresh is this?”) while the rest of the starry ensemble scream and chuckle their way through this tasty 30-second preview.
Scream Queens arrives on Fox later this year.
