First image of Lily Collins as Snow White revealed
Tarsem Singh's vision doesn't scrimp on colour
The first official image from Tarsem Singh's Snow White has been unveiled.
Featuring Lily Collins as the titular pale beauty, it confirms that the movie will be as flamboyantly designed as director Singh's previous efforts ( The Cell , The Fall , Immortals ).
It also goes to show that this will be very different to the character's most famous screen incarnation in the 1937 Disney animation.
It's certainly a striking image, and it sets the film up as an early contender for the most visually spectacular movie of next year, so let's hope there's some substance beneath the glamour.
Collins (Phil's daughter) has so far appeared in The Blind Side and Priest , and she'll star opposite Taylor Lautner in Abduction .
The as-yet-untitled movie also stars Armie Hammer as the prince, Sean Bean as Snow White's father, and Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen.
This version of Snow White is expected to open in March 2012, ahead of rival project Snow White And The Huntsman , which is due in June 2012.
