First images from The Raid 2
Production has started in Jakarta
The first images have arrived from Gareth Evans’ The Raid 2 , with work having kicked off on a 100-day shoot in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The new film will pick up where the original left off with Rama (Iko Uwais) leaving the first film’s infamous high-rise in order to infiltrate a Jakarta crime syndicate.
The stakes are as high as ever, with Rama looking to expose police corruption and protect his family from harm into the bargain.
The new images are suitably mean and moody, with Rama looking ready for action and already bearing some battle-wounds. Looks like he’ll have a whole new cartel of bad-guys to inflict some hurt on!
Directed by Evans, the film is expected to arrive in 2014, with the director claiming it will be “bigger, better and bloodier!” We can hardly wait…
