First look at Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer in The Lone Ranger
Jerry Bruckheimer tweets the first Lone Ranger image
The first image of Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp in The Lone Ranger has been tweeted to the world, by producer Jerry Bruckheimer!
Using his Twitter account to reveal the new look of the duo, it's clear Tonto, played by Johnny Depp, looks a little miffed he's saddled with Armie Hammer's man of the law.
With a crow mounting his dark matted tresses, it looks like Depp could be playing Jack Sparrow again, but we can presume there will be less Keith Richards in his performance as the Ranger's Native American companion.
On director duties is Gore Verbinski, who's worked with Depp on three of the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies and Rango . For Hammer, this will mark his first collaboration with the pair, and also his first major step into blockbuster acting (if you don't count Mirror Mirror ).
Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson and William Fichtner are also starring with the boys in this adventure tale that will take The Lone Ranger and Tonto across the American plains to bring justice to a corrupt system.
There's a little wait to see these boys in action though: the big screen adaptation is still scheduled for a May 2013 release. Let's hope Bruckheimer keeps these visual tweets coming.
