First look at Ben Kingsleys The Mandarin in Marvel One-Shot All Hail The King
He’ll head up the new short
The first look at Marvel One-Shot All Hail The King has been revealed via Entertainment Weekly , confirming that the short will focus on Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin.
Spoilers will follow for anyone not up to speed with Iron Man 3 , so be warned…
In Iron Man 3 , Kingsley’s menacing villain was revealed to be no more than an actor (and a drunken luvvie at that), fronting the evil schemes of Guy Pearce’s Aldrich Killian.
It was one of 2013’s most shocking plot twists, and it split audiences down the middle. It was also one of the funniest scenes of the year, and judging from the stills, the short will continue in that vein…
The 14-minute short has been written and directed by Drew Pearce, who co-wrote Iron Man 3 with Shane Black, and is currently being tapped up to scribble sequels to some of cinemas biggest franchises ( Mission: Impossible 5 being at the top of his list).
All Hail The King picks up with ‘Trevor’ where he left off after being uncovered by Tony Stark, and finds him locked up in a maximum-security prison.

All Hail The King will feature on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray.
