First look at Daniel Radcliffe in Horns
Complete with, er, horns
The first image has emerged from Alexandre Aja’s Horns , in which Daniel Radcliffe shows off his prosthetic head-adornments for the very first time.
Adapted by the novel of the same name by Joe Hill (son of Stephen King), Horns is a supernatural thriller telling the story of Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), the prime suspect for the rape and murder of his girlfriend.
One morning, Ig awakens to discover a pair of horns growing from his head, granting him the power to drive people to confess their sins. A handy tool when trying to find his girlfriend’s real killer.
“To play somebody who, in the midst of a time in his life of great turmoil anyway, undergoes this horrific transformation into a devil character…it was very, very exciting,” says Radcliffe.
As you can see from the first image, there’s no shying away from those prosthetics, particularly when they’re sprouting bloodily from a pair of oozing holes on his forehead. No wonder he looks a bit peaky…

Co-starring Juno Temple, Max Minghella, James Remar and Kelli Garner, Horns will open in the UK at some point in 2013.
