First look at Guardians of the Galaxy 2 villain comes from… a super-adorable toy
If there’s one thing possibly better than cute Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 toys then it’s Guardians toys giving us a first-look at a previously unseen villain. Funko’s new range of Pint Size Heroes revealed, as director James Gunn was eager to point out on Twitter, a glimpse of Ayesha, known as Kismet or simply ‘Her’ in the comics.

James Gunn confirmed on Twitter that the toy lurking in the background of the Funko promotional shot is Ayesha. Movie news coming through a director’s Twitter feed via a toy line is… quite something.
The Night Manager’s Elizabeth Debicki will be playing Ayesha in the Guardians sequel but, as of writing, this toy is as close as we’ve come to seeing what Ayesha will look like – and her menacing scowl is her main feature: She’s not a happy bunny. The other Guardians toys had better watch their oh-so-squeezable backs.

It’s probably worth noting that Ayesha won’t be quite as cuddly in the movie. In fact, her origins in the comics as a test-tube ‘perfect’ human sees her run roughshod over the universe looking for Adam Warlock – the ‘Him’ to her… ‘Her’. Could her appearance be hinting at a potential future sighting of Adam Warlock as we close in on Avengers: Infinity War?
Directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Kurt Russell, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit UK cinemas on April 28, 2017 and open in US theatres on May 5, 2017.
