In addition to special abilities and magical attacks, the characters have a regular attack, a use item option, and super-powerful finishing moves - nothing revolutionary for a console RPG (which isn’t surprising for a series known for its orthodoxy). However, we were promised enough characters and abilities to keep combat intersting for the player.
