First look at Need For Speed movie: watch now
Pedal to the metal
DreamWorks' forthcoming adaptation of successful videogame franchise Need For Speed has revealed a behind-the-scenes video, giving us a first glimpse of its hi-octane action.
Director Scott Waugh is on hand to talk up just how exciting the new film will be, while a squadron of stunt drivers take their souped-up racers through the gears.
"I'm going to allow you that thrill," says Waugh, "and put you in that seat and let you drive at 200mph". And amid all that, there might be a story in there somewhere too!
Take a look at the new video, below...
The new film will see Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul play a wrongly-imprisoned street racer, who gets out of lockup and makes it his business to get even with arch-enemy Dominic Cooper.
Further plot details are fairly muddy at this stage, but given the nature of this first video, it seems as though all of that will be secondary to the white-knuckle action sequences anyway...
Directed by Waugh and co-starring Imogen Poots, Dakota Johnson and Scott Mescudi, Need For Speed will open in the US on 14 March 2014, with a UK date to be confirmed.
