First look at Pusher remake
Images arrive of English-language version
Nicolas Winding Refn might currently be the talk of Tinseltown thanks to his slick and stomach-churning work on Drive , but it was the cult popularity of the Pusher trilogy that first marked him out as a talent to watch.
Now, the inevitable English-language remake is on the way, with a pair of crimson-hued images of stars Richard Coyle and Agyness Deyn released by Vertigo Films. Both look suitably mean and moody, with Coyle appearing to channel Travis Bickle in full-on wack-job mode.
An official synopsis has also arrived, explaining how the film will tell the story of how, “a small time London drug dealer descends into debt following a spot of bad luck and a series of bad choices.” Oh and in case you were worried, the film is promised to be, “as edgy and explosive as Nicolas Winding Refn’s 1996 cult classic.” So there you go.
