First look at Vin Diesel on set in Riddick 3
The goggles are back
Vin Diesel's Facebook page is well worth following.
As well as dispensing tidbits of philosophical advice , inspirational messages and sharing candid snaps of himself frolicking shirtless , it's also a decent source of concept art and movie updates.
Like the snap above for example, which sees the hulking actor back in mythological garb for part three of the Riddick franchise ( IMDb is calling it The Chronicles Of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking , but we're hoping that's a pun-tastic mistake).
Diesel's been riding something of a career peak over the last couple of years, having spent the best part of the 'noughties' in the doldrums before getting a boost with the resurgence of the Fast And Furious series.
While he looks suitably impressive in the on-set image, we're a tad nervous that his costume suggests Chronicles Of Riddick rather than Pitch Black .
Let's hope that isn't the case.
David Twohy is calling the shots on the film, which is expected to be released at some point next year.
