First official image of Nicholas Hoult in Warm Bodies
He's looking a bit pale...
Jonathan Levine’s zombie romance Warm Bodies has released a first official image of stars Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer in all their ghoulish goodness. Well, it’s only really Hoult who looks ghoulish, but you catch our drift.
At first look, there’s something distinctly Twilight about this promo shot, what with the intense stares, chiselled cheekbones and pallid complexions. Oh, and Hoult’s blood-red hoody looks as though it’s been plucked from the wardrobe of a certain Mr. Pattinson.
That said, the plot sounds a lot less po-faced than its befanged counterpart, with Hoult playing R, a zombie who falls in love with Julie (Palmer) after eating her boyfriend’s brains and absorbing all his memories. And if that isn’t the cornerstone of a healthy relationship, we don’t know what is.
Going by the promo image, it looks as though Summit Entertainment are playing up the romance aspect, but director Levine promises comedy and horror in equal measure.
Hoult and Palmer will be joined by a supporting cast including John Malkovich, Rob Corddry, Dave Franco and Analeigh Tipton, with the film pencilled in for a Stateside release date of 10 August 2012.
