First Picture Of Gordon Gekko circa '09

Oliver Stone has been not so quietly labouring away on a timely sequel to his Oscar winning Wall Street , starring Shia LaBeouf as a young hotshot stockbroker, and Michael Douglas returning to the role that made him, Satan-lite banker Gordon Gekko.
While details surrounding the plot have been kept reasonably under wraps, we do know that Shia's character will be the betrothed of Gekko's daughter, and will be welcomed into the family the Gekko way, by teaching him how to lie, cheat and steal his way to the top.
Also rumoured for cameo appearance is Charlie Sheen's Bud Fox, the young upstart who got the Gekko treatment in the original film, though nothing has been confirmed about the size or purpose of his role.
This morning we get a first look at Douglas as Gekko, and though not quite the remarkable return we'd hoped for (no power-suit, power-striped shirt, power-tie or suspenders in sight, let alone a cigar), we do get to see Gordon Gekko's return, which is in itself glorious.

Verdict? Is greed still, for lack of a better word, good? Is Gekko a shadow of his former self? Speak!
