First poster for Will Ferrell's Spanish comedy
Casa Di Mi Padre begins publicity push
The news that Will Ferrell would be starring in a Spanish-language film caught us all off guard, so it should come as no surprise to learn that the first official poster for Casa De Mi Padre is a thoroughly enigmatic affair.
The striking new one-sheet gives us a fresh look at Ferrell as Armando Alvarez, a Mexican rancher who finds himself embroiled in a dispute with the country’s most feared drug lord.
Ferrell will be backed up by homegrown Mexican talent including Y Tu Mama Tambien double-act Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, as well as Parks And Recreation star Nick Offerman.
Directed by Matt Piedmont from a script by his Funny or Die collaborator Matt Steele, the film will be released entirely in Spanish, and will hit US screens on 16 March 2012.
No UK release date has been confirmed as yet, but in the meantime, you can take a look at the first official poster in all its glory below…
