First poster released for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D
Leatherface is back...
Although the latest instalment in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise isn’t released in theatres until October 2012, the eager beavers in Hollywood have already unveiled the new poster for the film.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D ignores all the other films in the series and picks up where Tobe Hooper left off in 1973.
Directed by John Leussenhop, Chainsaw 3D stars Alexandra Daddario as a young girl who heads to Texas to collect her inheritance money.
Little does she know that part of her inheritance is our dear chainsaw-wielding, human skin wearing pal Leatherface.
Other details haven’t been released, but apparently the new film serves as a ‘love letter to fans,’ this may be due to the list of our old favourites who are reuniting for the film.
We'll see the likes of Gunnar Hansen and John Dugan, and cameos from Marilyn Burns and Bill Moseley.
So, against our better judgement, we're actually pretty excited to see the return of Sally, Leatherface and Choptop to the franchise. This is one family reunion we're actually looking forward to.
