First screen of Respawn's game appears... sort of
This blurry shot is our first inkling of what's next for the team behind Modern Warfare
More than a year ago the turmoil within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare development house Infinity Wardresulted in the controversial firings of studio heads Jason West and Vince Zampella, with much of the development team exiting with them. On April 12, 2010 West and Zampella formed Respawn Entertainment with much of the old team and announced they%26rsquo;d partnered with Activision%26rsquo;s rival EA to create a new game. Since then we%26rsquo;ve been waiting for any news on the mysterious title they%26rsquo;re working on. Today Respawn finally created a real homepage for themselvesand with it was the first image of the game%26hellip; though we%26rsquo;d use the term %26ldquo;screenshot%26rdquo; loosely%26hellip;
This looks to be a pretty simple landscape, no humans seem to be on display, and the coloring suggests a more pastoral look than we conjured for the self-described%26ldquo;sci-fi oriented shooter%26rdquo;. Some may think that Respawn released this still to make millions of readers squint at their screens all day, but we think it%26rsquo;s more likely that the game is based off this famous photo of the Loch Ness Monster.
Does this screen make you enthusiastic for the Respawn%26rsquo;s first endeavor, or do you require assets that you can actually see to get pumped up?
