First teaser trailer for Carrie remake: watch now
“She was just a girl”
The first teaser trailer has gone online for Kimberly Peirce’s Carrie remake, and it paints a suitably ominous picture of our young heroine’s telekinetic rampage.
The trailer begins with the camera panning through a vista of quiet Americana, before the buildings are gradually revealed to be ablaze, and Carrie is seen standing at the epicentre of the carnage.
Covered in blood and looking more than a mite distressed, Chloë Grace Moretz looks to make for an engaging Carrie, both pitiable and terrifying in equal measure.
Take a look at the teaser, below…
For those who aren’t familiar with the original, Carrie White is a troubled loner, who finds her struggle with making friends becomes even harder following the startling development of a telekinesis she can barely control. Throw in a controlling, religious fanatic of a mother, and life is no picnic for Carrie.
Co-starring Julianne Moore as the aforementioned matriarch, Carrie will open in the UK on 5 April 2013. There will be blood… lots of blood.
