First trailer for What To Expect When You're Expecting
"Pregnancy sucks!"
The first trailer has been released for pregnancy comedy What To Expect When You’re Expecting , and despite our initial misgivings, it actually looks pretty funny.
Inspired by a pregnancy guide of the same name, the film will follow the lives of five couples as they attempt to prepare themselves for the miracle of life. And several years of cleaning up poo.
What had initially got us worried was the Valentine's Day -style structure; super starry cast plus interconnecting plot strands usually equals unpalatably sickly mess. However, in this case, there actually seem to be some decent gags in there as well.
Take a look at the trailer below…
Okay so it doesn’t look as though it will be breaking any boundaries, but What To Expect When You’re Expecting does at least look like a superior romantic comedy, with a very decent cast including Cameron Diaz, Anna Kendrick, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Banks and Dennis Quaid.
Directed by Nanny McPhee helmer Kirk Jones, the film will be released in UK cinemas on 18 May 2012.
