First trailer lands for Scream TV series
The first trailer has appeared online for MTV’s Scream TV series, and it seems to be packing the same blend of slasher splatter and genre savvy that made the original film such a hit back in 1996.
“You can’t do a slasher movie as a TV series,” snarks one smug high-schooler in the new trailer. “Slasher movies burn bright and fast.” He may be right, but we hope he meets a particularly sticky end…

No clear view of the killer’s mask then, but from the shadowy glimpse shown in the footage above, it looks to be a less cartoonish look than the iconic Ghostface. In any case, the new guy looks to be just as handy with a knife…
Co-starring Bex Taylor-Klaus, Willa Fitzgerald and John Karna, Scream will debut in the US on 30 June 2015, with a UK air date to be confirmed.
