First trailer screeches in for The Transporter Refuelled
The first trailer has appeared online for action prequel The Transporter Refueled, in which former Game Of Thrones star Ed Skrein steps into Jason Statham's considerable shoes to play Frank Martin, the titular "Transporter".
The new film sees Martin hired by a trio of female bank robbers who make off with an impressive haul, thanks largely to their driver's flair for a getaway. However, one of the clients of said bank isn't too pleased about having his account drained, and decides to kidnap Martin's dad to settle the score…

While Statham very much made the role his own, Skrein's roguish charm suggests something of a reinvention of the character as opposed to a straightforward retread. And happily, the action looks just as bonkers as ever. Directed by Camille Delamarre and co-starring Ray Stevenson and Gabriella Wright, The Transporter Refueled will open in the UK and US on 4 September 2015.
