Former Bungie devs reveal their new studio's first game, Fallen Frontier
Moonshot Games releases a peak of its 2D sci-fi debut title
Life after Bungie is looking good for the team at indie studio Moonshot Games. This Tuesday, the former Halo-developers revealed their first game, Fallen Frontier; a 2D sci-fi sidescroller that looks to be a solid debut title.
The game tells the tale of a %26ldquo;jaded lawman from Earth%26rdquo; who heads to a rough-and-tumble district of space called Alpha Centauri on a quest to right a few mysterious wrongs. Judging by the trailer alone, Fallen Frontier appears to be a mix of Shadow Complex's moves, Metroid's spirit, Blade Runner's style with a bit of Halo's aesthetics. Check it out:
Following the announcement, Moonshot Games posted a brief Q%26amp;A telling fans they're hoping to release Fallen Frontier for Steam, XBLA and PSN sometime in the first half of 2012. For now, they invite anyone in the Boston area to try the game out themselves this week at Moonshot Studio's booth during PAX East (booth number 759, if that helps).
Can't make it? Maybe a few pics from today's fresh batch of concept art will fill the void:
