Former EastEnders Hunk Joins True Blood Season Six
Rob Kazinsky – who was bad boy Sean Slater on the soap – will play a faerie (don’t tell Phil Mitchell… he’ll only take the piss)
Rob Kazinsky, still best known over here for playing Sean Slater in EastEnders (because even though he appeared in George Lucas’s Red Tails , only about three people went to see that) is joining the cast of True Blood in season six.
According to TV Line Kazinsky – who since leaving Albert Square has appeared in the US show Brothers & Sisters , and will soon be seen in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim – will play Bon Temps newcomer Ben, a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie and Jason delve deeper into the mystery of their parents’ murders.
At one point, Kazinsky was due to appear as the dwarf Fili in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy (see below), but pulled out shortly before filming commenced to be replaced by The Almighty Johnsons ’ Dean O’Gorman.
Rutger Hauer ( Blade Runner ) will also debut on the show in season six, playing Macklyn , a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.
