There are fresh quests, cosmetics, and a limited time mode all being added to Fortnite, but they won't be around for long so makes sure you catch them while you can. To get up to speed, here's a round up of everything that's new with the v29.01 update in the latest Fortnite patch notes.

The biggest change with these Fortnite patch notes is the return of Midas, the mastermind with the golden touch. He's brought about many changes in the battle royale, including some new limited time Rise of Midas Fortnite quests to complete, and the appearance of Midas Fortnite vending machines and golden chickens at random as you explore the island. By completing those quests you can unlock the Cerberus Medallion spray, Rose of Avarice back bling, and Queen in Gold glider, plus the Ascendant Midas outfit will be available to purchase from the Item Shop from March 26 along with the Golden King's Cape back bling, The Golden Touch pickaxe, and the Golden Ascension wrap.
This update also sees the return of the Fortnite Floor Is Lava limited time mode, in which players need to secure the high ground and drop their opponents in the burning lava as it rises ever higher. There are more quests attached to this mode, and completing them will unlock the Lightning King spray, Zeus Medallion spray, and The Gilded Vengeance Pickaxe.
To wrap things up for these latest Fortnite patch notes, we also have the arrival of the Fortnite Chains of Hades, a fresh weapon which can smash through obstacles, whip opponents into shape, or harpoon enemies and pull them towards you. The Shield Bubble Jr. item has also been added, which is a smaller version of the classic Shield Bubble but still forms a protective dome around you to cut out projectiles and explosions.
