The Fortnite Ariana Grande concert, the Fortnite Rift Tour live event is on the way and the Ariana Grande Fortnite skin is in the item shop now. Coming up we've got all the details of the mysterious event promising "magical new realities" along with rewards and challenges to be getting in with in the meantime. The main rumor in Fortnite almost from the start was that Ariana Grande but now that's been confirmed what is the Fortnite Rift tour actually going to be, what's going on? Let us explain.

When is the Rift Tour in Fortnite
The Fortnite Rift Tour takes place over three days with five different showtimes across America (twice), Global, Asia/Oceania and EU/ME. As you can see above those times are as follows
- August 6, 6pm PT / 11pm BST - America
- August 7, 2pm PT / 7pm BST - Global
- August 8, 12am PT . 5am BST - Asia/Oceania
- August 8, 10am PT / 3pm BST EU/ME
- August 8, 6pm PT / 11pm BST America
Obviously it's an in-game event, with Fortnite recommending you arrive an hour before showtime, with the playlist live 30 minutes before each show.
What is the Rift Tour in Fortnite
The Rift tour is, in Fortnite's own words, a "musical journey into magical new realities where Fortnite and a record-breaking superstar collide". While you wait for the event you can already collect 'before tour' rewards and sign up for reminders to one of the five show times over three days.
As for what the Rift Tour will entail, aside from the confirmation of Ariana Grande, the rest looks very cryptic with the teaser giving us glimpses of monsters, planes, rifts, hammers and what looks like crystal armor for Grande...

How much is the Ariana Grande Fortnite skin in the Item Shop
The Ariana Grande skin is in the item shop now with the basic outfite setting you back 2000 V-bucks. If you want the full bundle, which includes the Piggy Smallz Back Bling, 7 Rings Smasher pickaxe, Sweetener Sailshard wings and a Lil' Floaticorn, that will cost 2800 V-bucks. Fortnite Rift Tour rewards
There are three rewards you can claim for the Fortnite Rift tour, the first of which - the Cosmic Cuddles Loading Screen you can see in the middle - you can get for simply ticking the 'wanna go?' box on one of the tour dates. The other rewards - the Rift-sterpiece Spray, & Cloudy Kitty Emoticon - can be claimed via some in-game challenges.
In addition to the pre-show rewards you'll be able to get the Cuddly Cloudcruiser commemorative umbrella for attending the show:
And if you're a Fortnite Crew member you'll receive the Rainbow Cloudcruiser Umbrella, a Skye up High loading screen, and a Rift Tour Banner just for logging in between August 5 at 10 AM ET / 3pm BST to August 9 at 10 AM ET / 3pm BST.
All that's left to do know is wait for the show. Given that Fortnite events usually break record it could be an interesting event. So mark the date in your calendar and remember to turn up early. No one wants to find they can't get in minutes before it all starts.
