Fortnite Vending Machines locations for Mending Machines
Where to find Weapon-O-Matics and Mending Machines in Fortnite
Fortnite vending machines are still handy devices to track down, but they have received some big changes in Season 2. Weapon-O-Matics now dominate the show, though they are sometimes randomly replaced by Mending Machines, and their locations are no longer guaranteed so can't be relied upon to appear in the same places every match. This does make things more difficult, which is why a guide such as this can help navigate the current situation.
It pays to know where to find these devices in Fortnite as they're often required to complete quests, so using them can tick off challenges as well as topping up your inventory. Read on for information covering all of the Fortnite vending machines locations, as well as how to use them.
Where to find Fortnite Vending Machines
If you're wondering where to find Fortnite vending machines locations, I've marked all of them on the map above. Things have changed for the current season, and while there are still plenty of Weapon-O-Matics to buy new guns from, these are only occasionally replaced by Mending Machines at random to offer healing and health items. Bear in mind these vending machines also no longer have guaranteed locations, and therefore will not appear in every position marked in each match, so further exploration may be needed to find them.
There are often Fortnite quests that task you with interacting with vending machines, so make sure you seek them out with the information above and purchase items from them when needed. You can easily spot vending machines when you get close, as a vending machine icon appears that is visible through walls to highlight where to go. Remember that it is possible to destroy Fortnite vending machines, so if you arrive at a marked location and it's not there then someone may have taken it out or it didn't spawn in the current match.
Where to find Mending Machines in Fortnite and purchase the Patch Up service
The Mending Machines in Fortnite appear at random, replacing certain Weapon-O-Matics. Unfortunately this means you can't predict where they're going to be, so you'll need to visit as many vending machine locations as possible and hope for the best. Historically, Mending Machines are more likely to appear at gas stations, so prioritize checking those locations if you're nearby, and when you find one you can interact with it then purchase the Patch Up service to restore HP – as long as you're not on 100 already. If you're trying to complete that quest, you might be better off vising one of the specific Fortnite characters that offer the Patch Up service, namely Katara and Peely at the time of writing.
How do you purchase from Fortnite Vending Machines
To purchase from Fortnite vending machines, all you need to do is approach one and follow the prompt to interact with it. You can then use the wheel to scroll through the different items on offer, if applicable, and if you see something you need then choose the buy option and confirm. Your gold bars will be duly paid, and the item will pop out of the machine in front of you ready for collection.
