Forza 4: live-action Endangered Species clip heralds Gold-only demo
Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson wistfully urges you to put pedal to metal
Here's a new trailer for Forza Motorsport 4, whose demo just went live for Gold XBLA subscribers. But you won't see much of the game over the clip's 2:30 runtime. Instead, British Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson provides the live-action spot with narration: a bittersweet lament for a vanishing breed of petrol-heads. Thank goodness for Forza, suggests Clarkson, or good men (and women, hypothetically) would be run down like mad dogs, with their only crime being the desire to go really, really, innocent-bystander-endangeringly fast.
Those following the game's development will know Forza and Top Gear are in tight: the show's signature racetrack is available in-game, and Clarkson provides voiceover for the title's “Autovista” showroom mode. Whether or not that angle interests you, there's a demo of Forza 4 available now on XBLA for your downloading and evaluation. Gold members can get the preview now, whereas free subscribers get to spend the days between now and Friday allowing their anticipation to build – or just skip the demo and wait for the game's release on Oct 11.
